Israel's Katz: Trump-linked Iran-Lebanon deal blocked massive Hezbollah strike

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz accused former President Trump of tying Iran and Lebanon negotiations to prevent Israel from launching a major attack on Hezbollah. Katz also informed US CENTCOM that Israel will not withdraw from security zones in Gaza, Syria, or Lebanon.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that former US President Donald Trump linked negotiations between Iran and Lebanon to reach a deal with Tehran, thereby preventing Israel from delivering a massive blow to Hezbollah across Lebanon. Katz made the remarks in a statement reported by First Squawk.

Separately, Katz informed the commander of US Central Command (CENTCOM) that Israel will not withdraw from its security zones in Gaza, Syria, or Lebanon, signaling a firm stance on its military positions in those regions.

The comments come amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East, with Israel maintaining a hardline posture on its security boundaries while accusing external actors of constraining its military options.
